Missouri CDL Practice Test and Test Prep (2026)

Missouri gives CDL tests through Missouri Department of Revenue (DOR) — Driver License Bureau. Here is what you will be tested on, which of our practice quizzes match each test, and what the skills test involves in Missouri.

Our practice questions are original and based on the national model CDL manual, not aMissouri-specific question bank or real exam questions. Passing practice does not guarantee a test result.Check Missouri requirements and source notes.

Missouri endorsement tests and practice

  • Hazmat (H) practice
    Missouri notes for this endorsement

Requires the hazmat knowledge test at an MSHP station plus a TSA Security Threat Assessment. The hazmat written test must be re-passed at every renewal; minimum age 21. Not allowed on a CLP.

  • Tanker (N) practice

    Tank vehicles.

  • Passenger (P) practice

Passenger; requires additional knowledge and skills testing; allowed on a CLP for training.

The Missouri skills test

Components: Pre-trip vehicle inspection, Basic control skills, On-road driving test.

Test vehicle: You must supply a vehicle of the same type and class you intend to drive; the state does not provide one.

Where and how to book: Skills tests are administered by the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Driver Examination Division or by a certified Missouri third-party tester, by appointment only (unlike regular license tests). CDL sites exist within each Highway Patrol Troop, and the Jefferson City CDL site tests weekdays. Since October 2023, MSHP and DOR train all state and third-party examiners to the modernized standard.

Waits and retests: Wait times vary by location and tester; Missouri does not publish a statewide figure.

Practice the inspection part with our pre-trip inspection guide. Research dated 2026-10-12; confirm testing details with Missouri.
